Matthew Bruhn's viral video and debt allegations involving Hells Angels
Consensus Summary
The story centers on Matthew Bruhn, 51, the father of Geelong footballer Tanner Bruhn, who was filmed in a 23-second video barking like a dog while dressed in underpants and a T-shirt. In the video, Bruhn is instructed to bark and admits owing money to a Hells Angels member named 'Gaz'. Both TheAge and 7News report that Bruhn denies the video depicts real events, claiming it was a joke with friends. Victoria Police are investigating the incident, though no further details have been released. Bruhn has a history of financial troubles, including two bankruptcies, the second in March 2024, and allegations of defrauding a vulnerable mother of $500,000. His company was liquidated in 2023 with a bank balance of 71¢, and he faces multiple debt-related disputes. The video has reignited scrutiny over Bruhn’s past actions, including claims he used his son’s AFL career to gain credibility with clients.
